While Hailee is off in Italy filming Romeo and Juliet, two more movies seem to be in production for our young starlet. The first film is Can a Song Save Your Life?, which Hailee is currently in negotiations to play the daughter of Mark Ruffalo's character. The second is a horror/thriller film called Dead of Winter. Synopsis' for both films can be found below, with the important information bolded. Ender's Game is also reportedly set to begin filming later on this year. Picture updates will be coming soon and if you haven't already, make sure to follow the site's Twitter here as information is posted there first!Hailee Steinfeld is in negotiations to join Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson in Can a Song Save Your Life?, written and to be directed by Once filmmaker John Carney.
Exclusive Media is producing and financing the feel-good romance and is selling the title at the European Film Market.
In another musical-themed story from Carney, Johansson's character moves to New York to pursue her dreams of a singing career but finds herself all alone when she's dumped by her boyfriend. A down-on-his-luck record producer (Ruffalo) finds her singing in a local bar and the two realize they may be each other's last chance to turn their lives around.
Steinfeld will play Ruffalo's daughter.
Anthony Bregman is attached to produce the film, and Judd Apatow is on board as executive producer. A June start date is being eyed.

There's nothing worse than the feeling of isolation. The notion of being completely cut off from the outside world (though appealing at times) is truly a frightening one, and Lionsgate is getting ready to exploit that with their new feature Dead of Winter.
According to Bloody Disgusting the Gate is getting behind Dead of Winter (formerly Hopscotch), a new thriller from Hopscotch Pictures and Wind Dancer Films.
Hailee Steinfeld is signed on to star as Josephine, a young girl who has recently lost her mother. She joins her family members who are thrown into conflict with each other, nature, and a crazed killer when they are isolated in their mountain home during a snowstorm. Sarah Conradt penned the screenplay.
Sukee Chew, Judd Payne and Sherryl Clark produce with a shoot date forthcoming.

First up, apologies for the lack of updates around here, I've been a bit busy trying to work on new layouts and new features for the site, other sites I'm involved with, along with "real world" things. Pictures that I've missed will be coming up as soon as possible. Secondly, some pretty awesome news: Hailee tweeted to Shake it Up star Davis Cleveland that she would be filming soon whether this is related to Romeo and Juliet or not, I'm not entirely sure but it's good news all the same. And, finally, the reason for this update: Hailee is in negotiations to join British actor Asa Butterfield (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Hugo) in the movie adaption of Ender's Game. True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld is in negotiations to join the cast of the sci-fi action thriller Ender's Game.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who has not made a movie since her breakout role in the 2010 Coen brothers hit, will join Hugo star Asa Butterfield in the adaptation of the 1985 Orson Scott Card novel, which is being co-financed by Odd Lot Entertainment and Summit Entertainment. Summit is planning to release the film in March 2013.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine filmmaker Gavin Hood is writing and directing. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing via their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products shingle.
Ender's Game centers on a futuristic military academy where children are trained to fight an invading alien force. Butterfield is playing the title character and Steinfeld would play the lone female in the child army who develops a relationship with the lead character.
Steinfeld is attached to star in an independent film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, as well as an adaptation of the sci-fi novel Forgotten at Paramount.

Last night Hailee attended a dinner for Chanel at Robertson Boutique in LA. Her look was a bit different than what she's been wearing lately in a bit of a military-ish style flowing dress paired with the shoes she wore at the Power of Youth event. HQs are thanks to Alvedansen on TFS! Posted by: Carlena
